50 kg cement sacks weigh only 65g – Cherat and BSW succeed
Cherat Packaging Pakistan and BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, are partners since 2010 when Cherat Packaging added PP ce-ment sacks to the portfolio. The close cooperation has led to further investments in the PP sack business by Cherat Packaging and significant technology developments by BSW. This year the joint developments have led to the successful introduction of PP sacks for 50 kg cement with only 65 gram sack weight.
converTex SLC 120 for PP block bottom valve bags – highest output and ease of operation
Beginning of 2015, BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, broke its own previous production record of cross bottom valve sacks made of woven PP. The first converTex for production of 120 sacks per minute was deli-vered to Sadico in Vietnam.
This machine is now in operation for one year and in the meantime several lines have been shipped to customers around the world. The result: highest production output and ease of operation.
New cement bags allow 20 % less bag weight - LS technology saves on material not on performance
BSW Machinery, the Vienna based subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher, presented a fascinating new technology for woven PP bags in its show room near Vienna. The technology combines several developments which together allow the reduction of bag weight without losing any of the performance criteria. Key elements are advanced ex-trusion technology for higher tape tenacity and indexed micro perforation. Reduced weight leads to lower bag cost and improved sustainability.
